Psst! Climage change can be a real trickster. It actually is June. Depsite the dismal morning gloom,
The Quran describes heaven as a garden, using the term Paradise. And that is exactly what is now installed in the Kling/Clybourn landscape. But don’t worry. To cut costs, Dave and Michele Philips continue to do most of the work. We have recently added a new milkweed plant that attracts butterflies. Have you seen the many more hummingbirds and butterflies? As you probably know, we lost three of our elegant liquid amber trees on the parkway to the drought. However, your board, working with the City of Burbank, has replaced all of them with something new and beautiful!
Here is the most recent addition.
And now LIGHTS. We will be replacing the porch light fixtures for every unit in the upcoming weeks. We are requesting input from the owners in deciding which light fixture is preferred. For your convenience, we have installed three of them on Kling in front of units 4426, 4428, and 4430. Inspect them and cast your vote at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SNGPBD5 on or before July 5, 2019.
Alas, we must report that there is a homeless person lurking about the property, leaving his charming droppings. He is a short man with dark hair and dark facial hair. If you see him, please call the police immediately. Only then will the police come out and attend to him. Also, there is an increase in people walking through our complex. We encourage all of you to ask anyone you see that is unknown if they live here. We have considered posting “No trespassing signs,” at all of our entrances.
Lastly, your board has decided to renew our pool. It is in a sorry state. We need to replace the siding, the decking and much plumbing. This is a big project, and we will begin it probably in the upcoming Fall/Winter. We have already acquired bids and consults. Soon, we will schedule an association-wide meeting at the pool to discuss this important beautification of our property.
This project will be costly. Probably, those of you who do not live by the pool nor even use the pool will be less inclined to fund this project. We urge you to remember that you live in a community. The community owns the entire property. When we improve one area of the communal property, we are improving the property of each one of you.
